Your role
As a Sheet Metal Bender, you will take part in the crucial step of preparing steel moldings for the assembly of our products. You may also be involved in various other stages of production to ensure efficient and high-quality assembly.

Roles and responsibilities

In the bending department, your main tasks will be to:

  • Take precise measurements using the imperial system (feet, inches).

  • Read and analyze the production order to produce the required moldings.

  • Transport and install steel rolls (15 lbs to 100 lbs).

  • Cut steel sheets to the desired length using the appropriate tools.

  • Bend the steel using the designated machine (manual bending on a press brake with guides).

If you contribute to production in other stages of the process, you may help with frame preparation or assembly, door panel preparation, installing thermos (glass units), and more.

Profile sought

  • Proficiency in the imperial measurement system and ability to measure fractions of inches (1/4", 1/16", etc.).

  • Ability to calculate fractions.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with a press brake.

  • Good physical capacity: ability to safely lift and handle heavy loads.

  • Good grip strength and hand pressure to efficiently handle materials and tools.

  • Precision and attention to detail.
